Course Highlights
>???? Engaging Learning through Gamification: We make learning more exciting and effective by incorporating interactive group games. Before diving into theory, students participate in these games to gain a solid understanding of course concepts.
???? Cutting-Edge Classroom Game Design: As an example, we introduce the award-winning game "Deal or No Deal," which has received the Finance Innovation in Teaching Award (FMA 2022 Innovation in Teaching Award). Through this game, students learn to make financial decisions in interactive scenarios. The game covers various financial concepts, including expected returns, risk aversion, risk premium, and behavioral finance.
???? Exploring Different Cultures: Our classroom activities and games are designed to introduce students to diverse cultural experiences. For instance, by playing a game inspired by the popular American TV show "Deal or No Deal," students naturally immerse themselves in everyday American entertainment. We also include elements from Taiwan, like red envelopes, to provide international students with a taste of Taiwan's unique culture.

This course delved into professional knowledge related to investment portfolios, providing a deeper understanding of the risks and benefits involved in trading and analysis. I remember the first class where the professor engaged us in investment-related games. To enhance our comprehension of the pros and cons of risk analysis, he conducted a real-life investment simulation, "Deal or No Deal." Through this game, students could assess risks and rewards while making investments. Overall, the course was highly beneficial, offering insights into various investment strategies and methods to mitigate risks, empowering students to apply these learnings in the future.
