【德國佛茨海姆大學學士雙聯經驗分享 - 管院英專108級校友江語婕學姊】
The Office of International Programs invited alumna Jasmine Chiang, a 2019 graduate of the English Bachelor of Business Administration (EBBA), to return to campus and share her experiences in the Germany Double Degree Program as well as her career journey. Drawing from her personal experiences, Jasmine guided students through her path from Yuan Ze University to studying at Pforzheim University in Germany, and how she seized opportunities that eventually led her to an internship at Porsche AG headquarters.
Jasmine participated in the “3+1.5 Bachelor Double Degree Program”, completing three years of study at Yuan Ze before spending a year in Germany. She emphasized that preparation before going abroad is crucial, including maintaining a strong GPA, achieving a TOEIC score of at least 800, and obtaining German proficiency at the B2 level or taking language courses locally. She also highlighted the importance of making full use of campus resources during her time at Yuan Ze, noting that the EBBA program offers a full English-medium learning environment where all professional courses are taught in English. This not only cultivates students’ international perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills but also creates an immersive experience similar to studying abroad, allowing their English proficiency to improve naturally.
The EBBA program also requires students to complete 8 credits in a second foreign language, with the university offering courses in Japanese, Korean, German, French, and Spanish. This not only helps students adapt to local languages in advance but also lays a solid foundation for future exchanges, dual-degree programs, or overseas internships. In addition, she shared how she made full use of campus resources during her three years at Yuan Ze—such as joining the Consulting Club, participating in international exchange activities, and building networks with senior students—all of which played a vital role in her application and preparation process.
In her second semester in Germany, Jasmine actively applied for internships. Despite receiving many rejection letters, she persevered and eventually secured a position as an International Sales Intern at Porsche headquarters, where she focused on the markets in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. During the internship, she not only gained deeper insights into the German automotive industry but also significantly enhanced her skills in cross-market analysis, professional communication in English, and intercultural collaboration.
This inspiring sharing session not only gave students a clearer understanding of the opportunities offered by the double degree program but also demonstrated the value of combining international study with career practice. Jasmine’s journey is a true testament to EBBA’s mission of cultivating talents with global vision and professional competence.
